アメリカ再訪 レンタカーの旅12日間 
第１１日目 ８月１８日（木）現地時間
いよいよ帰国：４時起床。昨晩念のためにレンタカー返却場所を確かめにＪＦＫのフェデラル・サークルに行ってみたが、結局正確な場所を見つけることができなかった。朝に再び検索したルートに従うと５分もかからずダラーレンタカーに到着。まず、車体の傷チェック。次にカウンターで料金の精算。車体の傷等もなく、最初のガソリンも料金に含まれていたのでバランスゼロで、無事ドライブ終了。結局トータルマイレージは１４４８マイル、約２３００キロだった。
<Day 11>August 18 EST
I returned the car at the Dollar Rental dropoff station at Federal Circle. The total mileage of this trip was 1448 miles. Since I opted for full insurance coverage and prepaid gas, there’s no extra charge at the desk. The only thing I noticed was the expression on
the serviceperson, who seemed to be surprised to know that I drove that much only for a week.

第１２日目 ８月１９日（金）日本時間
帰国しました：シアトルにはほぼ定刻に到着した。乗り継ぎのため一旦ターミナルに降り、次の便を確認してびっくり！乗り継ぎ時間は1時間なのでお土産を買う暇もないと思っていたところ、シアトル出発時刻が３時間も遅れていた。ようやくアナウンスがあり、大阪から到着する機材が遅れていることが分かった。空港ビルから出るわけにも行かず、昼食を食べたり土産を買ったりして時間を過ごした。、アメリカ出国の手続きを済ませていないことをそのときに気付き、デルタ航空の係りの人に尋ねたら特に必要ないとのことだった。
関空到着が予定より２時間ほど遅れる結果となった。関空から帰る途中で夕食を食べる予定だったが、淡路ＳＡで軽く済ませて帰宅となった。
<Day 12>August 19 JST
The flight back from Seattle was delayed by three hours. The benefit was that we had enough time for eating lunch and buying souvenirs at the airport. The problem with YUJIN was that he had planned to eat at a sushi restaurant on the way back from Kansai Airport. But we arrived at Osaka too late for dinner and had no choice but to drive straight to our home.
